Welcome to Kind Start Psychotherapy

Kind Start Psychotherapy is a private practice that offers virtual therapy for individuals, youth, and couples. On this site, you can find information about the services provided at Kind Start and learn more about the psychotherapy process. Check out my list of free resources at the bottom of this page. It might come in handy if you or someone you know is in a crisis or need immediate support.

Why Virtual?

Participating in therapy has never been easier. Running therapy online allows us more flexibility and removes the potential barrier of having to commute to an office. I run all my sessions in adherence to the ethical codes outlined by Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). This means that I only use HIPAA approved platforms to run our sessions, which ensures that your privacy and confidentiality is safe and secure through virtual care.

What to Expect

Starting therapy can be overwhelming and confusing. To help clarify the process, I created a step-by-step guide of what to expect when choosing Kind Start.

What to do in a Crisis

I do not offer crisis intervention services, but there are lots of organizations that do. Linked below is a list of free resources that might help you or someone you love prepare for a crisis.

If you are currently in a crisis and you need to speak with someone immediately, call a crisis-line now. If you are experiencing an emergency and are concerned for your safety, you need to call 911 or get yourself to the closest emergency room.
