About Sara

Hello! I founded Kind Start Psychotherapy to create a safe space to examine personal challenges and mental well-being.

Starting therapy for the first time can be overwhelming. Even if you've done therapy in the past, working with a new therapist can leave you with many unknowns. I developed Kind Start to help demystify the psychotherapy process and make therapy easy and accessible for all.

Listed below is some information about what it’s like to work with me as your therapist - or I could speak to these points directly in a free consultation call.

My Approach

My stance is collaborative and non-judgemental. I aim to create a warm and welcoming environment where it feels safe to explore personal challenges. As a psychotherapist, my job is to help facilitate a conversation that deepens your understanding of yourself and how you perceive the world. Together, we will examine what's been going on for you and brainstorm how to make long-lasting changes.

Services

  • Individual Sessions $170

Each session is 50 minutes and held virtually. In individual therapy, we have the flexibility to craft a tailored therapeutic plan. Therapeutic plans are created collaboratively and strive to meet your unique goals.

  • Couple Sessions $250

In couples therapy, we focus on building trust and improving communication. Each session is 50 minutes and held virtually. Any two people are welcome to book a couples session regardless of relationship type.

  • Free Consultation Call

Free consultations are 15-minute phone calls with zero commitment. We discuss what you’re looking for from therapy and determine if we might be a good fit to work together.

  • Free Mental Health Worksheets

Mental health support should be accessible and easy to navigate. Outside of my work in private practice, I dedicate time to creating free mental health worksheets for anyone to use.

My Stance

People seek therapy for a variety of reasons. Regardless of what brought you into therapy, we will work together to plan out appropriate next steps.
